Travis graduated from Durand High School in 2001 and served his apprenticeship under his father, Steve. He took his undergraduate courses from University of Michigan - Flint and graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, earning his degree and license in 2005. He started his career as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Homes in the Greater Lansing area until 2007 when he returned to his family's business. In November of 2017, Travis purchased Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes from his father, Steve and Uncle, Kurt, ensuring that the business would stay family owned. 

Travis is a member of the Shiawassee-Owosso Kiwanis, board member for the Hospice House of Shiawassee County, member of the Durand Eagles Club, Durand Rotary Club, serves on the Community Relations Committee for the Memorial Healthcare Foundation and served as one of the founding board members for the Durand Schools Education Foundation. 

Travis managed our Durand Chapel for over 8 years before relocating to Owosso in 2015, where he lives with his wife, Amber; daughter, Ella and son, Jax.  He manages our Owosso chapel and oversees operations for our 6 locations.

Steve graduated from Indiana College of Mortuary Science in 1979 and received his Funeral Directors License in 1980. He worked for Jennings-Lyons Chapel in Owosso from 1974 until 1986. He then went to work for Nelson-House Funeral Homes in Owosso from 1986 until 2000 at which time he and his brother Kurt purchased the Laingsburg, Perry and Durand Chapels from Bob Nelson and Harold House. Steve is married to Vickie and they have 3 children: Nicholas, Kelli, and Travis.

Ryan was born and raised in Morrice; he graduated from Morrice High School in 2000. After high school Ryan trained to be a Fire Fighter and Paramedic, and worked for Perry Area Fire/Rescue from 2002 to 2014. Ryan came to work for Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes in the spring of 2010 as a part-time funeral assistant. In January of 2012 he enrolled in the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and graduated from there with a degree in Funeral Directing and Embalming. Ryan served his funeral apprenticeship under Travis Watkins and became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the spring of 2015. Ryan is the location manager for Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
 
Ryan currently resides in Corunna with his wife Kristin (Howard) and three children; Daylen, Ayden, and Ayla. Ryan and his family are members of the Owosso First Church of the Nazarene, Shiawassee County Pork Producers Association, the Shiawassee County Agricultural Society, and the Owosso Lions Club.
